Amy Brumbaugh, PMHNP-BC

Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing online psychiatry care across Washington State

Amy Brumbaugh, PMHNP-BC, psychiatric nurse practitioner at ATC Psychiatry

Amy Brumbaugh is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at ATC Psychiatry. She provides psychiatric evaluation and medication management to adults and teens throughout Washington State through secure online appointments.

Education and Training

Amy earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Seattle University, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She additionally holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Oregon's Robert D. Clark Honors College.

She is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and is licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Washington State.

Clinical Experience

Amy has cared for patients across a wide range of mental health needs and backgrounds including inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. Her sociology training informs how she thinks about the social and cultural context patients bring with them, and her prior work in the fitness industry gives her an unusually practical grounding in the physical side of mental health.

Approach to Care

Amy takes a holistic view of psychiatric treatment. Alongside medication management, she works with patients on the everyday factors that shape mental health — physical activity, sleep, nutrition, supplements, and routine — because those are often where sustainable improvement actually comes from.

She is passionate about reducing stigma and building strong therapeutic relationships. She collaborates closely with patients, families, and other members of a patient's care team, and prioritizes culturally responsive, evidence-based care in a setting where patients feel heard rather than processed.
