ATC Psychiatry provides evaluation and ongoing medication management for a range of psychiatric conditions. Our approach is the same regardless of diagnosis: a thorough initial assessment, conservative and evidence-based prescribing, and consistent follow-up.
Many people arrive with more than one thing going on — depression alongside anxiety, ADHD with disrupted sleep, trauma history complicating a mood disorder. Part of the initial evaluation is sorting out what's primary and what's secondary, because that determines what treatment makes sense.
Depression
Major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, treatment-resistant depression, and depression occurring alongside anxiety or other conditions. We also see seasonal patterns frequently, which matters in the Pacific Northwest. Learn more about depression treatment in Washington.
Anxiety and Panic Disorders
Generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, and health anxiety. Anxiety commonly appears with depression, and the combination affects which medications are appropriate. Learn more about anxiety treatment in Washington
ADHD
Evaluation and treatment for adult and adolescent ADHD, including cases where symptoms were never assessed in childhood. We take diagnosis seriously — a proper evaluation looks at developmental history, current functioning, and other conditions that can present similarly. Learn more about ADHD treatment in Washington
Sleep Disorders and Insomnia
Chronic insomnia, disrupted sleep patterns, and sleep problems occurring alongside psychiatric conditions. Sleep affects nearly every other diagnosis, and treating it often improves everything else.
Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health
Depression and anxiety during pregnancy and after birth, including questions about medication safety while pregnant or breastfeeding. This is an area where many people struggle to find a provider willing to have a nuanced conversation.
Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar I and II, including mood stabilization and long-term management. Distinguishing bipolar spectrum illness from unipolar depression is one of the more consequential parts of a psychiatric evaluation, since standard antidepressants can worsen the course.
Also Treated
We additionally evaluate and treat PTSD and trauma-related conditions, OCD, and mood or attention concerns arising alongside chronic illness, work stress, academic pressure, or major life transitions.
We do not provide substance use disorder treatment, court-ordered evaluations, disability determinations, or emotional support animal letters.
How Care Works
Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation lasting up to 90 minutes. If medication is appropriate, we discuss options, expected timeline, and side effects before starting anything. Follow-up visits are typically every two to four weeks initially, spacing out as you stabilize.
All visits are conducted by secure video. No referral is required, and first appointments are typically available within 5 to 10 days.
Where We Provide Care
We serve patients throughout Washington, including Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bellingham, Olympia, Spokane, Vancouver, Kitsap County, Bellevue, and the Tri-Cities.
Insurance and Cost
We are in-network with most major Washington plans, including Premera, Regence, LifeWise, First Choice Health, Cigna, Kaiser Permanente, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum. Cash rates are $300 for the initial evaluation and $175 for follow-up medication management. Details are on our Rates and Insurance page.
